WHY SUNDAY?

Reconnecting. Reaffirming. Recharging. For many, Sundays are about family, faith, and preparing for the week to come. It’s a time to reflect on the previous days and intentionally plan for what’s next.

So why Sunday Strategies? Years ago, I heard a friend - and fellow public servant - share that they looked forward to Sunday nights, because it meant they got to go to work on Monday.

That sentiment stuck with me.

And for nearly 25 years, I felt the same. I looked forward to Sunday nights, because it meant I got to go to work at the FBI the following day (though, admittedly, I worked more than a few of those Sundays, too). It was a privilege to serve, and each new week brought the opportunity to contribute to a mission larger than myself.

Later, as a Special Agent in Charge and then as Assistant Director of the Training Division and as Executive Assistant Director, I encouraged new employees to check in with themselves on Sundays throughout their careers and gauge how they were feeling. It was the Sunday Night Test: Are you looking forward to the week ahead?

I believed - and often witnessed - that they would pass this test more often than not. And when they didn’t (because life happens, and frustrations are real), I urged them to lean on their support systems and talk through it.

Sunday Strategies is born from that same philosophy: insight, clarity, and a forward-looking mindset. It’s about helping leaders, teams, and organizations reflect and turn intention into results. It’s about building the kind of leadership, communication, and strategy that makes you look forward to what the week will bring.

It’s about meeting every week with calm, purpose, and impact — and that starts with Sunday.
